About Phil McCrackin
Born outside Scotland, sorry, educated but spent most of my spare time, playing with musical instruments, especially the guitar.
My first job to help me buy my 1st guitar was a paperboy, but I left during the 1st cold winter, as I felt my hands would suffer badly for later in life.
I’m now an old going on young rock ‘n’ roll session musician, rarely known but everyone has heard of my work at some point.
I’ve toured with some of the greats, these include - The Wurzells, The Wombles, That Madam Cholet, she knows what’s what and The Smurfs, amongst others, I’m sorry to say but Papa Smurf is just a blue freak.
When not gigging or keeping Father Ted occupied on a Sunday night, with “Phil & Ted’s Amazing Radio Adventure”, I like taking gadgets and gizmos to pieces, I may not fix them, but it’s better than just turning it off and on again.
Rock 'n' Roll quote: I still have the fag packet Slash wrote the intro to “Sweet Child O’ Mine” on. The best guitar intro ever.
