About Wild Willie
I am an East Coast Boy and I currently live on the outskirts of a town called Haddington.
I was born in 1958 in a house that is still standing in Edinburgh!!!
My hobbies include music, fly-fishing and following my football team Hibernian FC - who are crap at the moment but will hopefully improve.
I also like drinking and women in any order.
The first gig I attended was David Bowie in the early ‘70s and the first record I bought was the Beatles single ‘Let It Be’.
My first drink was breast milk and I’m still drinking the stuff.
I became a radio DJ by accident. I used to DJ in a lot of the nightclubs in Edinburgh and got to know a lot of Radio presenters doing the rounds and soon after I was invited into the studios one day and the rest is history!
My music tastes include what we play on Rock Radio and bands such as Linkin Park, Foo Fighters and Airbourne.
I drive a Saab ‘93 or my small run around car. I used to have a 250cc Honda, a long time ago, but after I came off it a 3rd time it was time to give it up!
My biggest achievements so far are being a Dad and working in radio (Working in radio instead of a real job is great) and being able to open a tin of Corned Beef without getting cut is fantastic.
My highlight of 2007 was the launch of Rock Radio and meeting The Captain's M'aw.
